Juba, South Sudan - Wednesday, Aug 20 2025 – South Sudan Football Federation has rescheduled the 2025/2026 Premier League season to Sep 13 2025, instead of the earlier date of Aug 21 2025.
The decision was reached during the first meeting of the newly elected Executive Committee, chaired by President Mr. Francis Amin Michael. As per the resolution, the change was made to allow the new administration to finalize key administrative and logistical arrangements and to accommodate the FIFA International Window (1st–9th September 2025), which will involve national team activities.
“This adjustment ensures proper preparation for both the league and our national team players. We want to start the season on solid ground,” said SSFF Secretary General Victor Lawrence Lual.
New Club Requirements:
The SSFF announced two new mandatory requirements for all participating clubs:
Each club must have a dedicated medical personnel (doctor or physiotherapist) for the entire season.
Each club must have a Head Coach with at least a CAF C Diploma License, duly registered before the league begins.
The Competitions Department will release an updated fixture list in the coming days.
The SSFF has assured fans that the rescheduled season will deliver a more competitive, organized, and professional Premier League under the new leadership.
