Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech has signed with Wydad Casablanca in what the club called one of the most significant transfers in its history.
The 31-year-old winger, who previously played for Chelsea, Galatasaray and Al-Duhail, joins the Moroccan champions as they aim to compete for multiple titles this season, including the CAF Confederation Cup, the domestic league and the Throne Cup.
Ziyech, who began his professional career in the Dutch Eredivisie, had been without a club since leaving Al-Duhail unexpectedly before the end of last season. His return to Morocco marks a major boost for Wydad’s ambitions and adds a high-profile name to the local championship.
